  • The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala is organising ‘VYAPAR 2022’, the Kerala Business to Business Meet at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Ground, Kaloor, Kochi, Kerala, India from June 16 to June 18, 2022 exclusively for the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the State.

  • On behalf of Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala, the Kerala Business to Business Meet (Vyapar) 2022 is organised by Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP) in association with the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation(KSIDC), Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA)through the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) as the ‘Trade & Industry Partner’.
  • Directorate of Industries & Commerceheaded by the Director of Industries & Commerce, is the functional arm of the Department implementing various industrial activities in the State and is responsible for promoting, sponsoring, registering, financing and advising MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) in the State. The role of Directorate is to act as a facilitator for industrial promotion and sustainability of MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) and the traditional Industrial sector in the State. The Directorate of Industries and Commerce is the controlling office of the 14District Industries Centres located in all the District headquarters of Kerala.
  • Directorate of Handlooms and Textiles functioning under the Department of Industries and Commerce, aims at evolving policies for the promotion and development of the Handloom and Textile Sector in the State. The Directorate of Handlooms and Textiles was established to protect and promote the production of Handlooms and Textiles in the State. It has the overall responsibility to support the areas of infrastructure, marketing, human resource development, conservation and preservation of traditional skills and products, finance, design input, raw material supply, export, modernisation, welfare programmes and price stability to equip the segment to compete in a globalised environment.
  • Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP)is the Nodal Agency on behalf of Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala for the successful conduct of VYAPAR 2022. KBIP is an Autonomous Body of Department of Industries & Commerce with the Principal Secretary (Industries) as the Chairman and the Director of Industries & Commerce as the Executive Director. KBIP is constituted to promote the potential business opportunities of the State to foresighted entrepreneurs and to highlight the ideal business climate prevailing in Kerala. KBIP is the State Implementing Agency for the Cluster Development Projects of Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The Kerala State Bamboo Mission (KSBM) functioning in KBIP, is constituted for the development and promotion of Bamboo Sector. KSBM is also the State Nodal Agency ofNational Bamboo Mission under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. KBIP is the State Nodal Agency of National SC/ST Hub under Ministry of MSME, Government of India. KBIP is the State Nodal Agency of the PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME Scheme)under Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Governmentof India. The Nodal Agency for the audit and certification of the International Food Safety (HACCP) System to Food Processing &Allied Units is the National Centre for HACCP Certification (NCHC), which is affiliated with KBIP.KBIP works in close coordination with other Promotional Agencies for industrial development, giving specific attention to the strategic advantages, the variousGovernmentsupportand other incentives offered in the different sectors of the industry. KBIP provides operational flexibility and acts as support mechanism for the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala.
  • Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (KSIDC) is mandated to attract and promote industries in Kerala. In doing a commendable job in the industry for the last 50 years, KSIDC’s in-depth knowledge of the industrial climate of Keralahas helped them to assist investors in setting up units and reaping success. ‘A Guide to Investors’, KSIDC helps to develop a business dream into a reality. The Corporation has so far promoted more than 750 projects in the State with an investment outlay of Rs. 5,155 Crores, providing employment to approximately 72,500 persons.
  • Kerala State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) was set up to unleash the industrial potential of Kerala. KINFRA’s mandate is to create a conducive infrastructure and environment with state-of-the-art facilities and to manage them in an efficient manner. This attracts investments and motivates entrepreneurs to set up new businesses in these new forms of industrial parks. The objectives were realised even from the first park it was set up in. From Apparel to Food Processing, Rubber to Seafood, KINFRA has pioneered the ‘Park’ concept in Kerala, kick starting development, particularly in industrial sectors where Kerala has an edge by way of natural and human resources. This helped to shape an industry culture and compelled many leading industries to locate their factories and manufacturing to KINFRA parks. It has created the much needed impetus for the industrial promotional movement in Kerala.
  • Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is the ‘Trade & Industry Partner’ for VYAPAR 2022. FICCI is the apex business organisation in India.
